The Easter Sacrificial Offering is a special collection made by Tenth Church to support and seed gospel projects around the world. These projects are typically international and involve economically disadvantaged countries.
The projects funded are above and beyond our normal Global partner support. The Easter season celebrates the triumphal resurrection and ascension of our Lord Jesus and his commission to us to go into all the world.
The Easter Sacrificial Offering is the Project of the Month for April.
The projects for 2026 are TICODE, Malawi; Santiago Reformed Seminary, Dominican Republic; Los Olivos Church, Barranquilla, Colombia; Church Without Walls; Karen Community, Thailand and Myanmar. For each of the next several weeks we will feature one of the projects.
Santiago Theological Seminary, Santiago, Dominican Republic
Dr. Bruce McDowell, former minister of Global Outreach at Tenth Presbyterian Church, has been serving since 2018 as the founding president of Santiago Theological Seminary (STS) in Santiago, Dominican Republic. STS was established with a clear vision: to equip pastors, church planters, and ministry leaders with solid Reformed theological training to strengthen Christ’s church throughout the Dominican Republic and the Spanish-speaking world.
By God’s grace, the seminary has grown significantly in a short time. STS currently offers theological education, biblical counseling training, and discipleship programs in theology and ministry for students from several countries. More than 250 students have already graduated and are serving in churches and ministries throughout the region.
The ministry continues to expand as the need for faithful leadership in Latin America grows. This fall, STS will launch a Diploma in Missions, Evangelism, and Church Planting, with the goal of strengthening the work of church planting and gospel outreach. In addition, STS is developing a Biblical Counseling Certification program in partnership with the Association of Biblical Counselors (ABC) to equip pastors and church leaders to care for their congregations with biblically grounded counseling.
To support this growing ministry, Tenth Presbyterian Church has committed to continue last year’s ESO project with STS, helping fund a strategic campus expansion. The project includes a new classroom, a café for student fellowship, and four small offices above the café to serve the growing staff and faculty. With the addition of a new PCA missionary and the anticipated hiring of an administrative assistant, the need for additional space has become urgent.

This expansion will significantly strengthen the seminary’s ability to train leaders by enabling better classroom interaction, improved video production for distance learning, the ability to host multiple classes simultaneously, and greater financial sustainability through independent utilities from Oasis Church.
STS operates on the property of Oasis Christian Church of Santiago, a Reformed congregation whose pastors serve on the seminary’s board. Through a 15-year renewable partnership, the church and seminary are working together to equip leaders who will faithfully preach the gospel, shepherd congregations, and plant churches throughout the region.
Your support of this project is an investment in the training of future pastors, missionaries, biblical counselors, and church planters who will strengthen Christ’s church across the Spanish-speaking world.
