Easter Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser

by Jonathan Cruse April 14, 2014

Easter Sunday is a big day. Church services, fancy (read: uncomfortable) outfits, photos, preparing extravagant meals, visiting family and friends—it’d be a shame to start the day off on an empty stomach. Fortunately, you don't have to if you join us at Tenth for Easter Sunday.

The Maranatha gang will be hosting our annual Pancake Breakfast. The breakfast has been a staple of Easter celebrations at Tenth for years, and you will certainly not want to miss it this year. We will have three floors set up with our delicious buffet to fill you up physically just in time to be filled spiritually at the service. Expect fresh, piping hot cakes, sausage, fruit, and oatmeal. Sit back and enjoy the time with your family and friends and let our highly trained (eager) staff of teenagers refill your cup with fresh OJ or delicious coffee. We promise you’ll enjoy your time with us.

Why should you consider joining? Besides the great food, the proceeds from that morning go to support Maranatha's summer missions, which have gone on to have a wonderful impact on the Philadelphia community and beyond. Your contributions will support us on four trips this summer: we will be running or aiding in three summer camps, one in West Philly, one in South Philly, and one in North East Philadelphia; our fourth trip is the second Vocations Trip, which will be partnering with the Summer Medical Institute this year. The breakfast is also a great opportunity for Maranatha to serve you—the Body of Christ. We are always grateful for chances to get out and involved with the church as a larger entity, and the Pancake Breakfast provides just that. Price is $10/person or $25/family, and doors open at 7:45. See you then!
