In Christ Through All Generations

Dear Friends,

Imagine a church in the heart of Philadelphia that has been faithfully declaring God’s Word since 1829, as vibrant and gospel-centered today as it was then. Imagine a church whose focus on the Bible and on exalting Christ has seen its message cover the city, the country, and the world by radio and, more recently, by webcast and social media.

Imagine a church just as concerned that the gospel be heard across the street and around the corner as it is around the world. Imagine a church whose people have dreamed of growing their ministries but have been thwarted because they were boxed in by other properties. Imagine that after over a hundred years of wishing and praying, the dream of ministry expansion was placed decisively in its lap!

Well, you don’t have to imagine, because the church is Tenth, and the life-changing message of the gospel continues to go out from Spruce Street, and the dream building is now ours! Not only is the building next door (1710 Spruce) ours, it is up and running with new and old ministries competing for its space. It came to us out of the blue, at a time when we least expected it and when we were least able to purchase it. But we acted in faith, believing that our many prayers had been answered and that God was pushing us along the road into the future he has for us.

This is an exciting time to be part of Tenth Presbyterian Church, which has blessed generations of people both inside and outside our doors and which will, under God’s watchful eye, continue to do so for generations to come.

Please join us as we launch a capital campaign to raise the necessary funds to complete the purchase of the building. We’ll be sharing more about the campaign this Sunday. Let us praise God who loves to take his people by surprise!

In Christ,

Liam
