Last Sunday’s Sermons: “A Love Song in Winter” & “Water into Wine”

by Sarah Boghosian November 18, 2013

Dr. Goligher continued his Sunday morning sermon series “The Gospel According to Isaiah” yesterday (11/17) with “A Love Song in Winter.” The text for the sermon was Isaiah 5:1-7. You can listen to and watch the sermon in our Resource Library. If you prefer to watch the entire morning worship service, you can do so on our YouTube channel or Vimeo account, which will also afford you the opportunity of seeing Carroll Wynne honored for his 25 years of service to Tenth.

In the evening, Dr. Goligher continued his sermon series “That You May Believe…” in the Gospel of John. His perfectly timed sermon titled “Water into Wine” expounded on John 2:1-12, the story of the wedding feast at Cana where Jesus turned water into wine. I say “perfectly timed” because in God’s providence this sermon fell on a Communion Sunday, and following the sermon we partook of the Lord’s Supper. Listen to the sermon to understand the parallels between Jesus turning the water into wine, his death, resurrection, and our participation in the Lord’s Supper. You can view the entire evening worship service on our YouTube channel or Vimeo account.
