Medical Campus Outreach (MCO) is pleased to announce the appointment of Steven Munz as our new Director. Here is a brief autobiography from Steve.
In many ways my life has always centered around Philadelphia. I was was born in Fishtown, grew up in the suburbs, studied Mechanical Engineering at Drexel University, and completed my Masters of Arts in Religion at Westminster Theological Seminary. In 2008 I was ordained as a minister in the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA), and I served on MCO’s board from 2007 through September 2013.
I love the city of Philadelphia and have served here since I was a student at Drexel where I worked with Young Life and Intervarsity. I went on to work in industry as a project manager and in full-time parish ministry. In my five years as the Associate Pastor at City Line Church, I focused on the integration of faith and work, emphasizing partnership with other churches and mobilizing believers to use their gifts for kingdom expansion in Philadelphia.
My goal as MCO director is for MCO to grow and flourish in the power of the Holy Spirit. I want to work with MCO to assist healthcare students and professionals in seeking the Lord’s will in their lives: building solid foundations on the rock of Jesus Christ, learning to love in community, and mobilizing in mission.
I have two children, Tommy (age 8) and Jimmy (age 6), and I currently reside with them in Plymouth Meeting.
