Walking with God (Tenth College Fellowship)

If you are a college student or college age, join us as we cover the foundational and practical doctrines of the Bible that shape our walk with God and His people. Each class will end with a time of group discussion and focus on applying scriptural doctrine to life and practice.



Coffee Hour Choir

All children through 6th grade are welcomed to join the Coffee Hour Choir starting Sunday, January 26 at 10:20am-10:50am in the Catacombs. We will sing on Palm Sunday in April. Eleanor Bracey will lead the choir. 



Maranatha Winter Retreat

Join us on the Maranatha youth winter retreat at Camp Sankanac from February 14-16. The retreat is open to any 6th-12th graders and we're looking forward to enjoying some great games, conversations, and time together!

SCHEDULE:

  • DROP OFF: February 14 at 6pm, 1710 Spruce, 1 Rear for dinner.
  • PICK-UP: February 16 between 12:30pm-1:00pm at Tenth. Students will have eaten an early lunch. 
  • COST: $155

Winter College Retreat

Join Tenth College Fellowship on January 24-26 for our winter retreat in Lewiston, PA. The Beautitudes of Matthew 5 turn everything we think we know about blessing upside down. Join us as we dive into Jesus' profound vision for His followers, discovering how true blessing is found in humility, mercy, purity and peace. This will be a time of deep spiritual growth and rich fellowship.

All undergraduate students and college-aged individuals are welcome to register.

Schedule:

  • Friday, January 24 – 3:00 PM – Depart Tenth
  • Sunday, January 26 – 5:00 PM – Return to Tenth

Accommodations

  • Separate male and female lodgings.
  • $70 for food and rooming.

Tenth Youth Orchestra

Be part of a unique orchestra program!

Tenth Youth Orchestra is a wonderful opportunity for string players, ages 7 to 18 to rehearse and perform together at Tenth Presbyterian Church. Any interested students from Tenth Church as well as student players from the surrounding community are welcome to join. There is no charge for participation in this orchestra however regular attendance for rehearsals and performances is expected as much as is possible.

Performance opportunities include informal recitals and occasional opportunities to play for services at historic Tenth Presbyterian Church.

Overview

  • Violin, Viola, Cello and Bass players with good note reading ability at an intermediate to advanced level are encouraged to join.
  • Music chosen will accommodate the different levels of the participants, using standard classical repertoire and hymn arrangements as well as lighter styles.
  • Rehearsals will take place in Reception Hall at Tenth Presbyterian Church every Sunday from 5:00 to 6:00 PM, beginning Sunday, September 22.

 

Director

Mrs. Judy Harvey is a certified music teacher with a masters’ degree in education. She has been teaching strings, both privately and in school contexts, for over 30 years. Recently retired as strings teacher in Cheltenham Township School District, she currently runs an after-school string program at St. Mark’s Classical Academy in Jenkintown.
