Over the last two weeks the Session has met several times and has made significant decisions about matters raised at the last Congregational Meetings. An email communication was sent to all members on Friday, April 4 and a brief announcement was made last Sunday. If you did not receive the email or letter and/or you have questions about the email or announcement, please see your parish elders or Rev. Geiger for further information and clarification.
The Session approved a new English/Spanish Hymnal to be used at the two o’clock service. We rejoice in the Lord’s blessing on these services and trust these hymnals will allow all to praise the Lord in their native language.
If you are not a member of Tenth and would like to receive more information about Tenth and how to become a member, a membership class is being offered beginning on April 27 and ending on June 15 from 5 – 6:15 pm. There will be dinner each week.
Please pray and plan to attend the Tenth Retreat on May 30 – June 1. More details will be coming but mark your calendars for this exciting time of fellowship and teaching.
At the recent resumed Congregational Meeting of March 7, 2025, there was some dialogue mostly between Member Michelle Bennett and the Moderator of the meeting about potential information received from Executive Session meetings. The Session reviewed this and note that “given some dialogue that occurred at the last congregational meeting, we want to clarify that we do not believe that anyone at Tenth has disclosed information discussed in Executive Session meetings to Michelle Bennett.”
The Session encourages all to consider attending the Adult Bible School. Classes include a men’s class, women’s class, new members class, a class on the second half of Hebrews, and a class on the 3:16 verses from the Bible. These are wonderful times of teaching and rich fellowship.
Pray for elders meeting with people for pastoral issues.
The Session encourages all to attend the upcoming Parish Meetings in May. Check the schedule for your parish.
“[. . .] blessed are the people whose God is the Lord” (Psalm 144:15b).
Sincerely for the Session,
George K. McFarland
Clerk of Session
