Sacred Spaces tour December 14

by Dot Boersma December 4, 2014

This Christmas season we are pleased to welcome a variety of guests to Tenth as we participate in  an interfaith "Sacred Spaces" tour. Our church, along with twelve other congregations in the Center City West area, will open our doors on Sunday, December 14, 1–4 PM (although Tenth will be open 2:15–5 PM).

Each congregation will be welcoming visitors in its own way, and new this year is a “Sacred Treasures Hunt,” designed to attract families to our churches. Families will be looking to spot a specific object, such as a particular stained glass window, at each church. Kids will also be given a stained glass template to color. Please let your friends and relatives know about this special day.

We will be participating by offering architectural information and live music throughout the afternoon. If you are interested in helping to “welcome the stranger” at our church, please contact Dot Boersma. Most of all, we hope that you also will enjoy the day to learn about the other religious communities in our neighborhood. Take a moment to learn about the beautiful architectural and stained glass gifts we have nearby!

This event is being coordinated by the Center City Residents Association, and you can learn more about it on their website. Enjoy our community’s Open House and “like” us on the Facebook events page for Sacred Spaces
