Christmas Canticles: Venite, an Invitation to Sing and to Hear

This Sunday, December 1, marked the start of Advent, a season of breathless anticipation as we, like Old Testament Israel, await the Messiah’s incarnation which we celebrate December 25. More deeply, though, the incarnational anticipation of Advent also mirrors our constant waiting for the return of Christ. Dr. Goligher began his Advent series Christmas Canticles with “Venite, an Invitation to Sing and to Hear.” The sermon text was Psalm 95:1-11. You can listen to and watch the sermon in our Resource Library. If you prefer to watch the entire morning worship service, you can do so on our YouTube channel or Vimeo account.
