This annual evening of choral-orchestral music during Passion Week always draws a capacity crowd. Brahms’ masterpiece, A German Requiem, based on biblical texts, is one of the most glorious pieces of music in the Western canon, and his virtuosic violin concerto is particularly beautiful.
