Women’s Bible School

By / Sundays at 9am

How many Psalms in the Bible are Messianic in nature? (Ordination exam question for our Presbytery.)  Answer:150. All invite us to see Jesus in the songs he himself used in worship. Using the Bible study on the Psalms by Winifred Brisley and Sharonda Cooper, TURN YOUR EYES, we will be studying 15 of these Psalms, as we observe, interpret, apply, and meditate on each major type of Psalm: wisdom, thanksgiving, lament, kingship, trust, and praise.  Please contact Earline at [email protected] if you would like to join.  She can also give you information on procuring the study book. (Teams link provided for virtual attendees).

Introduction to Tenth

New to Tenth Church? New to Presbyterianism? Interested in becoming a member at some point or just learning more about Tenth? As part of getting to know us, we encourage you to attend an Introduction to Tenth luncheon, offered several times a year which provides an overview of our church's mission, beliefs, and life together.

This 8-week class is for those interested in both joining Tenth or learning what it means to be a member of a local church like Tenth. For those wishing to join Tenth, the class will be followed with sharing your testimony with our parish elders and then being publicy received into membership before the congregation.

Westminster Confession of Faith

By / Sundays at 9am

In this quarter, we will complete our studies of the Westminster Confession of Faith. When the Presbyterian Church in the United States of America was formed in 1788, it adopted (with minor revisions) the Westminster Confession of Faith (1646), Larger and Shorter Catechisms (1647), as its secondary standards (the Bible itself being the only infallible rule of faith and practice). Officers in the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA) have taken a vow to “sincerely receive and adopt” these confessional documents “as containing the system of doctrine taught in the Holy Scriptures”. Members are encouraged to bring their own copy of the Confession to follow the teaching and the analysis. Members are also encouraged to read G.I. Williamson’s, The Westminster Confession of Faith for Study Classes.

**This class is offered virtually via Zoom along with in-person.

You will gain a comprehensive overview of the Old and New Testaments, Christian ethics, church history, theology, and more, understanding that all Scripture is authoritative and profitable for every human endeavor (2 Timothy 3:16–17).
