We’ve had a lot of questions about how this is going to work. We’re attempting to answer those questions here.
How can I get a parking placard?
Sign up here to get one emailed to you that you can print at home. Or, if you don’t have a printer at home, you can print one in the Spruce Street entrance to the church. Placards are per-family. You can print as many copies as your family has vehicles.
How does this work for visitors?
The same as everyone else: visitors can either print a placard online before they come, or they can print one in the Spruce Street entrance when they arrive.
How can I get a Low-Mobility Accessible Placard?
If you have limited mobility and need to park as close as possible to the church, there is an option for this when you fill out the form to get your placard either online or in-person in the Spruce Street entrance.
Who can scan the QR code on the placard?
Anyone can scan the QR code and through it can report that a car is improperly parked. When that report is submitted, the drivers in the family will automatically receive an email and a text notifying them that their car has been reported as being parked improperly. (A handful of staff and volunteers will also be notified.) However, only Tenth staff and key volunteers can see to whom the placard belongs.
What if I have multiple cars in my family?
Since parking space is limited, we discourage families taking multiple vehicles to Tenth unless absolutely necessary. However, the placard belongs to your family and can be shared among any and all cars for which your family is responsible. You can print multiple copies of your family’s placard for your multiple vehicles.
What if I prefer to park anonymously?
You are welcome to park in one of the lots or garages with whom Tenth has an agreement or park on the street in accordance with posted Philadelphia parking regulations. However, to park using the relaxed parking permissions afforded Tenth under our parking permit, you must register online for a Tenth parking placard.
How does this work for special events?
For most events, it will work the same: use the Sunday placard if you have one, or if you don’t, print the placard in advance at home or in the Spruce Street entrance when you arrive. For some special events (particularly weddings and funerals), Tenth may issue separate date-specific placards instead.
However, keep in mind that for Special Events outside of Sunday services, the area where parking is permitted is much more limited. These details will always be current at tenth.org/parking.
