What is Unscripted?
Unscripted: Conversations on Faith & Life is one of three initiatives you will see in 2014. These gatherings are intended to give believers and skeptics alike the opportunity to consider the claims of Christianity. The other two initiatives are Open Forum and Christianity Explored, both of which you will hear more about in coming weeks.
Unscripted is an opportunity to discuss common questions and objections to the Christian faith. For example, “How can you say there is only one way to God?” or “How can God send good people to hell?”
Unscripted conversations last about an hour, and I will be hosting and facilitating these conversations. Each conversation will begin with a welcome and brief introduction to the topic of the evening followed by discussion and opportunity for questions.
Who is Unscripted for?
Unscripted is for believers and skeptics who want an opportunity to discuss common questions and objections to Christianity. These conversations are not debates. They are not competitions to see which side can rack up the most points. These are conversations in which people of faith and people of no faith can together consider the claims of Christianity through some of the most common questions and objections of our day.
When is Unscripted?
Unscripted will take place on the first Tuesday of every month except for August and December. The first six conversations will be at 6 PM in the basement of the Black Sheep Pub on 17th Street, just north of Tenth Church.
