Sunday Highlight (Part 1): Worship & Testimony

by Jonathan Cruse December 13, 2013

It's that time of year when we have lots going on both on Sundays and throughout the week as we prepare to celebrate Christ's birth. This week our Sunday Highlight is a twofer. Up first is Jonathan Cruse with details about Marantha's Worship & Testimony event. Soon to follow is Terri Taylor with information about two important vocational group meetings: Tenth Business Network and Graduate Students' Lunch.

Maranatha, Tenth’s youth ministry, is hosting our annual Worship and Testimony event on December 15 from 6:15-8:00 PM. What is Worship and Testimony, you ask? It's a very special night of Christmas celebration—scripture readings, favorite carols, a brief Christmas meditation, and (of course) delicious holiday goodies. We will also hear from several of the students as they testify to God’s work in their lives throughout the past year. Our special guest speaker will be our very own senior minister, Liam Goligher (he can do a brief meditation, right?).

But wait—there’s more! In addition to our traditional readings, testimonies, and songs, we will be having our first-ever Maranatha Art Show. You'll find Fellowship Hall decked with student artwork. This is a wonderful chance for our teens (as well as adults involved with this ministry) to showcase their God-given gifts for his glory and our enjoyment.

If you plan to attend the evening worship service that night, you are warmly invited to join us afterwards to enjoy the art gallery, snacks, and time with friends. We trust it will be a heart-warming time during this chilly Christmas season. I hope to see you there!
