Two pastoral residents will live in the fourth floor apartment at 1716 Spruce Street. Along with the Ministry Fellow, they will evangelize and encourage college students on Philadelphia campuses through Word-based, Spirit-empowered gospel ministry for the advance of God’s glory. Pastoral residents are recent college graduates and will receive a stipend and housing. The ministry fellow is part-time and receives a stipend.
Matthew Denney hails from Lapeer, Michigan, and he graduated from Wheaton College in May with a degree in political science and a minor in Bible/theology. His passion for college students was stirred through leading small groups at College Church in Wheaton and serving as a resident assistant. He is a pastoral resident.
Zack Worsham is a pastoral resident working with Tenth College Fellowship. Since graduating from the University of South Florida in Tampa, Zack has spent the last two years overseas working with a church in London. As a result he has found a new appreciation for drinking tea with milk, and watching football—soccer, that is.
Ben Hutton, Ministry Fellow for Tenth College Fellowship (TCF), is transitioning from TCN to work with undergrads at Penn, leading a small group and discipling students. He has a Master of Divinity from Westminster Theological Seminary and lives in University City with his wife, Hannah, and their sons, Elijah and David.
In last Sunday’s bulletin, we introduced the interns. Below are a list of abbreviations and photos of the interns, the pastoral residents, and the ministry fellow.
MCO: Medical Campus Outreach
TCF: Tenth College Fellowship
TCN: Tenth City Network (20s & 30s)
TIF: Tenth International Fellowship
Please keep all of these individuals in prayer and encourage them as you are able. Our desire as a church is to build up the future ministers and servant-leaders of the larger church and kingdom community.
