David Apple at City Conference

For several years now, members of Renewal PCA in West Philadelphia have partnered with Tenth in ACTS homeless ministries. During this time their leadership have developed an ambitious vision for Renewal members in city ministry and mercy outreach.

Because of our relationship, I have been invited this weekend (11/9-11/10) and next (11/16-11/17) to speak at Renewal’s City Conference. Sunday’s worship talks will focus on the process of compassion in ministry, and Saturday’s workshop will look at the worldview of compassion as a way of life.

Please pray for me as I speak and preach these two weekends for wisdom, discernment, and clarity. Pray that the Holy Spirit would work in the hearts and lives of those who attend. And pray for Renewal Church, that the Lord would continue to equip them to serve the city in his name.

Next time you see me at church or in my office, ask how God is equipping people through Renewal PCA and City Conference to imitate our Lord’s mercy and compassion. I’d love to share.
