Facility Update
Our new building, 1710 Spruce Street, continues to be well used for both Sunday and mid-week activities.
Since our last report, we have substantially completed the move out of 1716 Spruce, and that building is now available for rent. The interns housed in the building were moved by the first of this year, and the two-year-olds moved into the carriage house this past spring.
Our next major tasks will be to complete the renovations necessary to house interns on both the third and fourth floors and create a meeting space on the second floor of 1710 that is almost the same size as the large conference room on the first floor. This will provide an appropriate meeting space for our growing college ministry.
Mortgage Update
Debt was paid down $957 thousand, and the mortgage on 1716 Spruce was satisfied. Praise God! Planning is currently underway to refinance the remaining debt on 1710 Spruce Street Ministry Center later this year.
Giving and Pledge Update
To date our campaign participation level is just over 300 households and the total of giving and pledges stands at approximately $1.9 million. Thank you very much for your gifts and pledges. These results are against a goal of 500 households and $3 million, so we still have some work to do.
What to Do Now
Please pray and be confident in the Lord’s promises to give us all we need.
If you have not made a financial pledge, it would still be welcome. Pledge forms are available at the welcome center and near the Delancey entrance. They form a basis for planning, and this is important, particularly as we will need to refinance the mortgage by the end of the year. Members of our team have been in communication with a number of households that are still considering their pledges. We welcome any questions or additional conversations that may be needed.
The campaign pledge forms have a check off box that is a simple prayer commitment. If you wish to express that kind of commitment and stand together with others in the congregation in the accomplishment of this task, you should do so.
Thank You
I praise God for the work he is doing among us though this effort and again want to express my thanks to those who have pledged and given.
