Join us this summer as we will be studying God's heart for the world in Missions. Scripture passages and questions for discussion will be sent out during the week before each class. Throughout the summer, some of our women global partners will also be sharing their perspectives on the work God has called them to. We will be using the IVP LifeGuide Bible Study by Paul Borthwick titled MISSIONS: God's Heart for the World as a guide. Women may attend virtually.
Beginning June 14, join Tenth women for a 10-week summer study using A.W. Pink’s helpful classic, Profiting From the Word!
Last summer, Tenth women gathered to consider principles for Bible study using Jen Wilkin’s Women of the Word. This summer, as we continue to seek to grow as students of God’s Word, we will examine ourselves and consider how we can be mindful of and on guard against the spiritually dangerous condition Peter warns of where we can be growing in knowledge yet be spiritually ineffective and unfruitful (1 Peter 1:5-9).
Women of all ages and life stages are warmly invited and encouraged to attend.
Join us for the Tenth Church Retreat! Think of it as a weekend where church members and attenders gather for worship, edification, fellowship, and fun in a relaxed environment on our church campus. Join us for a fun and refreshing weekend retreat at Ocean City, New Jersey on April 25 at 4pm – April 27 at 1pm.
This year's theme, "Jesus, the Resurrection," invites us to explore one of the most important and life-changing truths of the Christian faith. Together we will dive into questions like: What does the resurrection mean? Why is it so important to understand? How can we personally experience the resurrection hope that Jesus offers? Through engaging discussions, inspiring talks, and meaningful conversations, we will discover how the resurrection impacts our lives today and gives us lasting hope for the future.
But that is not all – this retreat is not just about reflection; it is about having fun and building connections! Whether you are seeking spiritual renewal, looking for new friendships, or just need a relaxing weekend by the ocean, this retreat has something for everyone. The retreat is opened to everyone.
The cost is $100 per person (shared room) and $200 per family (one room). This fee includes two nights of hotel accomodations, meals and 3 days of retreat activities. Spots are limited, so register soon to reserve your place!
Join us as we observe a day of fasting and prayer, concluding with an evening time of corporate prayer led by Ruling Elder Paul Duggan.
Here are some ways we invite you to pray today and over the next few weeks. But don’t let this be the limit of your prayer; please pray as you feel led by the Spirit.
If you are the parent of a teen or adult child who is walking in rebellion against the Lord, you might feel alone—perhaps even hopeless. Finding other believers to pray with you about your child’s situation can be intimidating.
Tenth is starting a group for parents of “prodigal” children. The purpose of the group isn’t to find advice or answers. The purpose is to create a safe space for parents to be known in their sorrow and fear and to pray together for the Lord to have mercy on their children, and to turn them back to himself in repentance.
If you’re interested in being part of this prayer group, confidentially email Executive Minister Tim Geiger here.
Struggling with sexual temptation or sin can prove discouraging, even devastating, to a man’s walk with the Lord and his relationships with others in his home and in the Body of Christ. Tenth is starting a group starting in January to help men who struggle sexually, helping them to come into the light of truth and repentance while at the same time helping them rely on the Lord and not on their own strength to do so.
This is called a discipleship group rather than a support group because the focus is on helping men understand God’s grace applied to them through the Person and work of Jesus Christ. It is, after all, God’s grace that is meant to lead to our repentance (Romans 2:4).
If you are a member or attender of Tenth, age 18 or older who would like help and encouragement in walking in repentance, please prayerfully consider becoming part of this group. You may confidentially email Executive Minister Tim Geiger here.
The glorious gospel of our Savior Jesus Christ changes everything about our lives and community! Come join women of Tenth as we reflect on the life of Christ and consider what this means for us as women in his church. What does it look like to hold fast to Christ in an unsteady world? The Apostle Paul calls us to be “stable and steadfast, not shifting from the hope of the gospel” (Col. 1:23). At this year’s fall retreat, we’ll consider what it means to stand firm in the truth, to be anchored by grace, and to endure with grateful hearts. Come ready for rich teaching, deep fellowship, and a weekend set apart to grow in the hope that doesn’t move.
All undergraduate students and college-aged individuals are welcome to register.
