Women’s Bible Study

By / los domingos a las 09

Join us starting September 13 as we study the life of Moses, one of the most significant leaders in all of Scripture.  From his life in Egypt through the wilderness of Sinai and up to entry of Canaan, Moses’ story reveals God’s sovereign power, covenant faithfulness, and saving grace as He redeems His people and leads them toward the Promised Land.

Using Matthew Newkirk's "Knowing the Bible" study for the book of Exodus and Dr. James M. Boice's THE LIFE OF MOSES, this class will combine biblical exposition with practical discussion and personal application to explore themes of God's holiness, redemption, leadership, faith, obedience, suffering, and perseverance. We will see how the events of Exodus point beyond themselves to the greater redemption accomplished through Jesus Christ.

Whether you are new to Bible study or have been studying Scripture for years, this study will help deepen your understanding and confidence in God's character and promises for every season of life. Come be refreshed through fellowship, discussion, and the transforming truth of God's Word.

Please contact Earline at [email protected]  if you would like to join. She can also give you information on procuring the study book. (A Teams link is provided for virtual attendees.)

Tenth Summer Reading Groups

The Tenth Summer Reading Groups will be studying, Lydia Brownback's book, Flourish: How the Love of Christ Frees Us from Self Focus. There are various Summer Reading locations that women can join so please contact Kelci Rose with any questions.

Lydia Brownback writes, "Flourish equips us with tools to identify the lies that come at us about where to find real life. As we dig deep into what God says in his word, we will learn to discern the worldly influences that threaten to warp our understanding of what it really means to be a Christian, and emerge with a faith that flourishes―full of the abundant life Jesus promises."

We will be using the study The Promised One: Seeing Jesus in Genesis, by Nancy Guthrie. The study will be on Saturday mornings at 10AM at Kelci Rose's home. Women who are new to the Bible, newer Christians and/or non Christians, are encouraged to attend.
