Volunteer Opportunities: Turkeys & Teapots

by Sarah Boghosian November 4, 2013

Let’s look at one old and one new volunteer opportunity. Both of these opportunities are pressing, fulfill very practical needs within our church body, and are quite easy to do.

By now you’ve heard about the infamous Global Outreach Conference banquet/talk show event Dressed to Kilt (11/9). Well no highland banquet is complete without tea served in teapots. 22 teapots are needed for the banquet. Can you loan one to the cause?

Moving from teapots to turkeys, David Apple also still needs five more turkeys for the November 10 ACTS Community Thanksgiving Dinner. Bring the carved meat, giblets, and bones (for soup) to the church kitchen by 11 AM on November 10, and let David know if you plan to bring a turkey.

Don’t assume that someone else will step up. Will you volunteer?
