Victor & Nosizo Nakah
Join us as we focus on Sub-Saharan Africa. Our main speaker is Dr. Victor Nakah who is Mission to the World (MTW)’s International Director for Sub-Saharan Africa. Dr. Nakah is originally from Zimbabwe and is an ordained Presbyterian minister. Prior to joining MTW, he was a seminary president in Zimbabwe for ten years and also worked for CURE International. He is currently based in South Africa where his primary ministry is ministering as an MTW international director but also supervises Master’s and PhD students at South Africa Theological Seminary and co-leads the Theological Working Group with Lausanne. His wife Nosizo is with us this weekend too, and they have two adult daughters, one son-in-law and two grandchildren.
Africa is an incredible testimony to God’s grace and power. The continent has long been recognized as a physically demanding mission field with many workers of previous centuries dying of illness or injury. But through persevering and faithful proclamation of the gospel blessed by the Holy Spirit, the Christian population has exploded over the past 100 years, so much so that scholars say the average Christian in the world today is female, black, and lives in an African village.
However, despite this tremendous growth, there are massive challenges that face not only Africans but believers all over the world, challenges such as persecution, the spread of heresies such as the prosperity gospel, and overwhelming poverty, corruption, and suffering.
So join us to praise God for what He is doing in Africa and how you can participate in His mission as goers and senders as we hear from our global partners, explore the exhibits in Reception Hall, and hear the preaching of God’s word on the mission of the church. You will see that what God is doing there, he is doing here in the US. We worship the same God in Jesus Christ and as his image bearers, we have more in common with each other than we usually realize.
Throughout the week, partners will be joining small groups. Find a Small Group near you.

Welcome to Tenth’s 83rd annual Global Outreach Conference! We are excited to see, hear from, and participate in what God is doing around the world through our global and local partners. This year’s theme is “Christ in a Pluralistic Age”. The focus will be on the Hindu World, India in particular. There are 1.4 billion Hindus in the world today. They worship millions of gods and so religious idolatry and pluralism are alive and well in the 21st century. Therefore, the message of the uniqueness of Christ is just as crucial today as any other time in the past. The good news is that many Hindus have come to Christ, including our main speaker, Rev. Shiv Muthukumar.
We are sure that you will be blessed and challenged from our conference speakers’ messages. We encourage you to attend as many events as possible during the conference week and to get to know some of our global and local partners who will be at Tenth.
In keeping with Tenth’s current policies, these events are mask-required.
