Coed Bibles, Coed Covenant Community is a one-day conference that seeks to help and fortify congregations in a biblical understanding of brotherhood and sisterhood in God’s household with the benefits of both coed worship and studies, as well as exclusive initiatives for men and women.
If men and women read the same Bible, have you ever wondered why it is we insist on separate study materials? Is it simply niche marketing, or are there theological reasons? Could it be that separating the sexes in Bible study is detrimental to our Christian community as a whole? Given that the Bible was given to the whole church and the apostle Paul says that it is "together with all the saints" that we understand the love of God, perhaps it's time to rethink some of our habits.
Aimee Byrd, our featured speaker, is an author, blogger and co-host of Mortification of Spin (a podcast of the Alliance of Confessing Evangelicals). She has authored three books: Theological Fitness, The Housewife Theologian, and No Little Women, and is a much sought-after teacher and speaker. Aimee is a member of New Hope OPC in Frederick, MD.
