Tenth Presbyterian Church celebrates the spiritual legacy of the Protestant Reformation with a service of thanksgiving. Timothy George (PhD, Harvard University) will be our guest preacher. Dr. George was the founding dean of Beeson Divinity School of Samford University. An executive editor of Christianity Today, Dr. George has written more than twenty books, including Theology of the Reformers, published by B&H Academic. He regularly contributes to scholarly journals. The service will feature several festive hymns and canticles, including congregational settings of the Ten Commandments and The Song of Simeon, both originally included in Calvin’s Genevan Psalter. The Tenth adult and children’s choirs will combine to sing several hymn-anthems accompanied by the joyful sounds of the Nicaea Brass.
