Hispanic Heritage Celebration / Celebración de la Herencia Hispana
Saturday, September 24 - 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm
The National Hispanic Heritage Month is a celebration that seeks to honor the history, language, culture, traditions, and contributions of the Hispanic and Latino Americans. The history of this celebration goes early as 1968, but it was not until August 17, 1988, when it was officially enacted into a national law.
The Hispanic Ministry at Tenth Presbyterian Church would like to join this celebration and to acknowledge the richness of the multicultural Hispanic/Latino heritage. For this reason, we invite everyone to join us for the Hispanic Heritage Celebration (HHC) where we will have food, games/competitions, music, good conversations, and more.
The main menu for this event will be tacos al pastor, cemitas (which is like a Mexican burger), and quesadillas. Moreover, different desserts from different Latin American countries will be served. There will be a piñata, so if you have not had the experience of breaking a piñata, you don’t want to miss this out.
