What We Do

But when Jesus saw it, he was indignant and said to them, “Let the children come to me; do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of God. Truly I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child shall not enter it.”Mark 10:14-15 ESV

CSN Classes

Children with Special Needs Ministry (CSN Ministry) provides three Sunday morning classes for children and youth who benefit from smaller class sizes, multisensory teaching, and additional classroom support. Multisensory teaching includes visual, auditory and kinesthetic (movement) activities so that children are more likely to learn and remember.

CSN Bible School Classes (9 AM)

Bible school classes currently serve children ages 8-15 with developmental delays, Autism Spectrum Disorders, and Down syndrome and 7th-10th graders with Autism Spectrum Disorders.

Hide It in Your Heart

Hide It in Your Heart is a Bible class that uses multisensory lessons and strategies to help youth and young adults learn and memorize Scripture while building relationships.

Bible School Classroom Support

Other children learn best through participating in regular Tenth Bible School classes, for part or all of the Bible School hour. CSN supports children within Tenth’s Bible school by providing 1:1 buddies as needed and available and assisting Tenth Bible School staff in getting to know and support their students.

Family Camp Award

Disability affects the entire family. Recognizing this, the Family Camp Award Program is available to families involved in CSN Ministry. Information and applications are sent to all CSN families each August, with the application deadline the third Sunday in September. Families who are accepted then meet with a pastor, elder, and CSN leader several times during the year and complete an Individualized Family Plan for spiritual growth and encouragement. Upon completion of their Individualized Family Plan, they receive a week at an approved Christian summer camp.

Joni and Friends Family Retreat is a wonderful camp for families affected by disability. Tenth families have attended the Spruce Lake Retreat.
