Fall Classes

The Parables of Christ

Fellowship Hall West

George McFarland, facilitator

One of the most common forms of our Savior’s teaching was the use of parables. In these, he often used common and ordinary elements to teach spiritual principles. In effect, they are “earthly stories with heavenly meanings.” We will examine Christ’s use of this tool and gain lessons about a variety of subjects. Come and discuss these profound stories and meanings.

Confession of Faith

1710 Spruce, 1 Rear (large conference room)

Ron DiGiacomo, facilitator

A two semester class (fall and winter) is offered on the Westminster Confession of Faith. The class aims to explain the theology of the Westminster Divines. Regarding those doctrines distinct to the Reformed tradition (e.g. God’s Decree; Free Will; Covenant Baptism...), a defense will be put forth in light of other evangelical views so that students might become more equipped to defend the system of doctrine found in Scripture.
