Branding & Identity

Brochure & Print Guidelines

The following system for group brochures allows each ministry or group to feel unique while still clearly part of the larger Tenth identity. It’s based on a standard trifold panel size of 3.75 x 8.5 inches (a trifold of 8.5 x 11 paper), or 4 x 9 inches (a quadfold of legal 8.5 x 14 paper). Any logo variation may be used within the band, as long as it follows the guidelines on the Logo & Color page.

Front Cover Measurements

Diagram of a brochure front cover showing a 2.25 inch white customization area, a 4.875 inch photo area, and a 1.375 inch logo band
  • A 2.25″ white area at the top allows for customization (title, subtitle, ministry name).
  • A 4.875″ area allows for image placement — one image, rather than multiple images, is recommended. If the Tenth band isn’t used, this area extends to 6.25″.
  • A 1.375″ band at the bottom carries the Tenth logo and helps with brand consistency.
  • For brochures printed without bleed (no images or colors printing to the edge), keep height measurements the same, with a 0.25″ border around the outside edge instead of a full bleed.

Back cover

The lower portion of the back cover carries the standard Tenth address lockup (icon, wordmark, and mailing address/contact information). Leave at least 1″ of clear space between any program-specific information and the address lockup, and leave about 1″ of space at the top of that program-specific area and from the separator line above it. The hangline of the address lockup should align to the top of the bar used on the front cover.

The area above the address lockup can be used for any program-specific information — times, locations, a call to action, or contact details for that specific ministry.

Band Color Variations

For public-facing documents, the color band at the base of a brochure cover should only appear in black, white, or our signature green. For more internal documents, such as those intended for members, other colors are allowed.

Unique ministry logos & special conferences

When a unique logo is used, or a brochure is needed for a special program without a standard Tenth lockup, use a standard band with the Tenth logo at the bottom of the cover, and set the program title using our approved fonts (see Typography) to create a specific title treatment.

Logo over photos

The logo can appear over a photo, in either a positive or reverse version, only if the photo is simple enough to allow for clear readability of the logo. Effects such as blur or shadow can also be used to provide the needed clarity.

Because of the various proportions of ministry logos, using them over a photo is not recommended — reserve this treatment for the standard Tenth logo.

These measurements were written for print production in InDesign. If your team designs primarily in Canva, a page builder, or another web-based tool, treat the proportions (roughly 25% customization area, 55% image, 15% band) as the guide rather than the exact inch values, and always check readability of the logo against your specific photo before finalizing.
