The reward for humility and fear of the Lord
is riches and honor and life. — Proverbs 22:4

Paul writes in Philippians, “Have this mind among you which was the mind of Christ,” and in Colossians, “Let the word of God dwell in you richly.” As we dig deeply in the word, God blesses us from his spiritual realm and we reflect his humility. There is no greater reward than knowing the Lord and his love for us.

God bless your day as you focus on the above verses and this prayer adapted from Philippians 2: “Since I have encouragement in Christ, comfort from his love, affection and sympathy, complete my joy by developing in me the same mind, the same love, being in full accord with my one true Lord and Savior. Help me to do nothing from rivalry or conceit, but in humility let me count others more significant than myself. Let me look not only to my own interests, but also to the interests of others. Help me to have this attitude, which is ours in Christ Jesus, who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but made himself nothing, taking the form of a servant…. Help me to do things without grumbling or questioning, that I may be blameless and innocent, a child of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and twisted world. Help me to shine as a light in the world, holding fast to the word of life, so that in the day of Christ I may be proud that I did not run in vain or labor in vain (Philippians 2:1-8, 14-16).
