(All programs are Friday evenings at 7:30 pm in the sanctuary of Tenth Presbyterian Church, 17th and Spruce Streets, unless otherwise stated. They are web cast live and then archived.)

Situated in the heart of the city's cultural district, Tenth Church desires to contribute to the musical life of the city by offering an excellent series of diverse programs.  Offerings will be collected at most events, but all concerts are free and open to the public.  Archived webcasts of past concerts are available.

REFORMATION HYMN FESTIVAL
Westminster Brass/Tenth Church Choir

Tenth's sixth annual Reformation Hymn Festival will center on the Reformation theme "Sola Deo Gloria". The service of hymns will be presented by the Westminster Brass and Tenth Church Choir. Guest speaker is Dr. Derek Thomas of First Presbyterian Church, Jackson, Mississippi. "Come, sing to the Lord!"

This wonderfully-varied musical soirée will include vocal, instrumental, keyboard and choral works of LeClair, Franck, Debussey, Ravel, Fauré, Poulenc, Duruflé and other French composers. An offering will benefit the James Montgomery Boice Chair of Practical Theology at the Reformed Seminary in Aix-en-Provence, France, as sponsored by The Huguenot Fellowship.

Tenth Church Choir/Westminster Brass

The Tenth Christmas Eve Candlelight & Carol Service is a beautiful ceremony of lessons and carols featuring the Tenth Church Choir & Soloists and the Westminster Brass. The congregation will participate in spirited carol singing and will hear Christmas scripture passages read by senior minister, Dr. Philip Graham Ryken.

Outstanding vocalists Stuart Neill and Kristine Biller Mattson, joined by other wonderful singers, will present operatic scenes, duets and love songs to help celebrate Valentine's Day Week. Philadelphia Legends III is sponsored by the Americal Guild of Organists, Philadekphia chapter. A brief talk on the music and organ history of Tenth Church will precede the recital. Talk by Dr. Jones is at 7:30 pm; recital is at 8:00 pm.

The Good Friday Choral Concert is a new tradition at Tenth following the over-capacity performance of Mozart's Requiem in 2005. Come hear the Passion/Resurrection sections of Handel's timeless oratorio performed by these extraordinary soloists, chorus, and orchestral players.

As our contribution toward Mozart Year 2006, marking the 250th anniversary of the birth of the celebrated musical genius, the Tenth Church Choir and soloists will offer numerout selections as part of this evening service. Included will be a church sonata, Ave verum corpus, selections from the Requiem, Vespers, and Mass in C Minor. Dr. Philip Graham Ryken will speak.
