Melissa Strong graduated from Philadelphia Biblical University in 1995 with a Bachelor of Music in music education, and a Bachelor of Science in Bible. Her teaching career began in 1995, where she taught music at a private Christian school for four years. She then went on to the Mt. Laurel, NJ public schools, where she is the Music Specialist for Pre-K through 4th grade general and vocal music. In 2003, she earned the Master of Arts in Music Education from Rowan University. Currently, Melissa is working toward a doctorate in music education with an emphasis in early childhood development at Rutgers University in New Brunswick. She serves as the Senior Research Assistant at the Center for Music and the Young Child in Princeton, New Jersey. She and her husband, Jeremy, enjoy making music together with their four children, Ethan, Owen, Lorelei and Jackson.
